Match Report 28/10/18 - Ralph Holman Cup

12 anglers fished the Ralph Holman Memorial Cup on Sunday 28/10/18 from 11am to 4pm. Weather conditions were good apart from a fairly gusty wind and the river was low & clear after recent cold nights with little rain. First place was taken by Kevin Smith who made the walk down to Peg 22 worthwhile with 3lb 2oz. The catch was taken on pole fished red maggot and consisted of mainly chub with most of the weight caught in the last hour & a half as the light began to diminish. Kevin only just beat Dick Martin in second place on Peg 9 who caught a decent chub of 2lb 8oz first cast and went on to lose two other big chub! After his frustrating day Dick weighed in 3lb 0oz. Joint third were Geoff Ring & Steve Morris on Pegs 3 & 10 respectively who both weighed in 0lb 12oz
