About us

Cuddesdon Mill Village Anglers Association or CMVAA for short was formed in March 1967 by a group of local anglers concerned about  the local  waters of the River Thame being bought up by London clubs. Many of the founder members are still involved with the club today. We are a family friendly fishing club fishing stretches of the River Thame in and around Chiselhampton, Drayton St Leonards and Cuddesdon. There are approximately 4.5 miles of the natural River Thame with Chub, roach, dace, gudgeon, barbel, pike & perch. There are around 110 swims across the 4 stretches of river with platforms on 25% of these and then several swims with stone slab bases . We work each season at managing all of the swims to keep them clear of fallen trees / overhanging branches etc.
