Match Report 11/11/18 - Ron Smith Rosebowl

11 anglers fished the Ron Smith Rosebowl on Sunday 11th November at Cuddesdon from 8am to 1pm. Good weather conditions prevailed and the match was won by Julian Rayment on Peg 22 with 5lb 4oz. Julian set an early target for the Chub Cup with a specimen of 5lb 3oz which was caught on the traditional winter method of legered bread. Quite rightly he continued with the method in the hope of landing another big chub but a late change to maggot feeder produced a baby chub of 1oz! Second place was taken by Bryan Butler who weighed in 3lb 11oz from Peg 14 which included a massive perch of 2lb 10oz on red maggot which will almost certainly win the Perch Cup. Third was Dick Martin on Peg 13 with 2lb 14oz narrowly beating Kevin Smith on Peg 12 into fourth place with 2lb 13oz.
