The Xmas Cup match scheduled for Sunday 10/12/17 at Cuddesdon had to be cancelled due to heavy snow on the day. The match was re-scheduled for the following Sunday 17/12/17 and the venue was changed to Chiselhampton as a lot of the pegs at Cuddesdon were not fishable due to the snow melt & additional rain. 10 anglers fished the match from 9am to 2pm & expectations were high that the "proper" chub would feed in the near flood conditions. Unfortunately missed bites, dropped fish and dry nets were the order of the day as only two anglers weighed in. First place went to Keith Nash who caught a chub of 4lb 7oz on cheese first cast in Peg 2. Second place was taken by Kevin Smith on Peg 14 who pulled out of a good chub early in the match but went on to net a much smaller fish of 12oz on legered bread.
