Delighted to be able to report that Cuddesdon Mill Village Angling Association's "A" team won the prestigious Thame Championship on Sunday 6th October 2019. CMVAA entered three teams into the teams of four event which saw a total of 72 anglers fishing as eighteen teams of four were competing. Four sections were fished with A & B sections up at Thame, C section at Wheatley & D section at Cuddesdon. Points were awarded in reverse order with one point for a section win down to eighteen for last place. Our "A" team recorded an impressive 10 points comfortably beating Ace Tackle into second place with 26 points. The winning team comprised of Kevin Smith (Captain), Julian Rayment, Dick Martin & Charlie Green. Kevin & Julian won sections D & C with 7lb 0oz & 6lb 4oz respectively whilst Dick & Charlie also scored good team points. Also of note was "B" teams Keith Nash who also won his section with the highest weight of any angler on the day. In summary it was an excellent day for CMVAA as we won the team match, won three of the four sections & also recorded the three highest individual weights out of 72 competitors!
