Ron Smith Match Results

Nine enthusiastic members attended the Ron Smith competition many of whom remember him very well. The river looked a bit healthier than recent weeks upon arrival with a better water level and colour. The winning weight was up on recent weeks but many others still struggled to find the fish. Winner was K Smith with a mixed net of 3lb 7oz - he also won the golden peg so went home very happy with over 100 pounds! 2nd was M Harding with 1lb 7oz including a 1lb 2oz roach. 3rd D Wallington 1lb 4oz and 4th T Cantwell 1lb 1 oz. The crayfish were a little less abundant than recent weeks so lets hope for a couple more cold nights and we may start to see a few chub showing.
