Match Report 6/9/20 - Horspath Cup

11 anglers fished the Horspath Cup match at Chiselhampton on Sunday 6th September from 7.30am to 12.30pm. The water level monitoring station at Drayton Bridge showed the river had dropped from 1.7 metres the previous week to 1.4 metres which was ideal. This coupled with a good weather forecast of light winds & only occasional sunshine meant that expectations were high. Unfortunately the river didn't fish as well as expected and the match was won by Kevin Smith on Peg 9 with 4lb 0oz. Kevin caught most of his fish on pole fished maggot before switching to caster to avoid minnows which were becoming a real problem! Second place was Joey Gleed with 2lb 15oz from Peg 23. Third was Tony Coffin with 2lb 9oz from Peg 2 & fourth was Charlie Green with 2lb 0oz from Peg 1.
