With the river back in it's banks it was decided to go ahead with the Bob Webb Cup match at Drayton St. Leonard on Sunday 2nd February fishing from 8.30am to 1.30pm. With the river pushing through & coloured several pegs were unfishable and lots were borderline. As only six anglers decided to fish Match Secretary Bryan Ball decided to make the match a "rover". Charlie Green made the most of drawing number 1 & fished Peg 15. Pole fished worm accounted for two chub & a winning weight of 8lb 0oz. Second was Julian Rayment on downstream Peg 20 with a chub on legered bread weighing 3lb 3oz. He shared his swim with his 11 year old son Henry who came third with a smaller chub on the same tactics weighing 1lb 12oz.
