Match Report 14/10/18 - Wheatley Teams of Three

Seven teams of three fished this match from 10.30am to 3.30pm on Sunday 14/10/18 in very wet weather conditions on a rapidly rising river. The mild temperatures meant the small fish continued to feed so weights were quite good despite the venues being fished the previous week in the Thame Championships. The CMVAA "A" team nearly produced an outstanding result with captain Kevin Smith easily winning C section with 8lb 2oz & Julian Rayment coming second in B section. Tony Coffin was fishing A section on the noted barbel peg & unfortunately lost a section winning big fish which broke his 10lb hooklenth! The net result was that CMVAA "A" team came second & CMVAA "B" team came fourth.
