The Club's Officers have agreed on the following guidelines for match fishing during the current Covid 19 pandemic to ensure that we all remain as safe as possible in the circumstances.

1/ The only change to last season is that the new match fee will be £10 per angler which will consist of £3 peg fee & £7 pools. This will generate much needed funds for the Club and allow a bigger payout.

2/ You must book in for the match with Bryan Ball (Match Secretary) by 1pm on the Saturday preceding the match. Bryan will then do the peg draw at home on Saturday evening. Bryan can be contacted on mobile 07794 551679 or home landline 01865 343445 which has an answerphone. If you turn up for the match without booking in you won't be able to take part as you won't have a peg allocated to fish.

3/ Please arrive before the advertised draw time on the Sunday of the match, unload your kit, put your  match fee in Bryan's money box & Bryan will tell you your peg number. Whilst it's OK to have a chat please maintain social distancing of two metres & make your way to your peg a.s.a.p as we don't want to create any group gathering. If you arrive late Bryan will leave a list of the anglers & their peg numbers on the dashboard of his car.

4/ Scales will be carried by Bryan Ball, Kevin Smith & Julian Rayment who will blow a whistle to start the match. As the scales may be in the "wrong" places you may not hear a whistle but may start fishing at the allocated time.

5/ Whistles will be blown at the end of the match but you should stop fishing at the allocated time. Pack your gear away and wait for the scales to arrive which may take longer than usual so please be patient. When the scales arrive a weigh box net will be placed on the floor. Please put all your fish in the weigh box net & stand back. The scalesman will then weigh you in, return the fish & record your weight.

6/ Bryan should be able to make up the pools payout in advance of the match & will give the winners their money at the end of the match.

If we all follow the above then we won't contravene current government guidance regarding group gatherings, no one will have to touch anything apart from their own equipment & most importantly we can all remain safe.
