Match Blog - Chiselhampton Cup 26/11/17

9 anglers fished the Chiselhampton Cup match on Sunday 26/11/17 from 9am to 2pm. Expectations were high that the big chub would make an appearance after recent frosts and some rain. These hopes were soon dashed as the river continues to be very low & clear which coupled with a bright sunny day meant bites were very hard to come by! Dick Martin on Peg 1 seemed to be fishing a different river to the rest of the anglers as he easily won with a nice mixed bag of fish totalling 3lb 15oz. Dry nets & hardly any bites meant 2nd place was taken by Keith Nash with a lowly 2oz & joint 3rd were Bryan Ball & Julian Rayment with 1oz. We really need some "proper" rain to get some colour & flow into the river.
