8 anglers fished the Bob Webb Cup at Drayton from 9am to 2pm. The river was just about fishable due to near flood conditions. A "rover" match was called with many of the pegs out of commission due to the very high water levels it was a case of finding some water to fish in. Keith Nash caught two "proper" chub to win the match with 7lb 0oz from Peg 5. Highlight of the day was 9 year old Henry Rayment who caught a chub of 4lb 14oz whilst fishing Peg 8 with his Dad Julian to claim second place! Third place was taken by match secretary Bryan "Otter" Ball who fluked a 1oz bullhead from Peg 13. Bryan also lost a decent chub along with Kevin Smith who lost a large fish in a very snaggy Peg 14. Young Henry Rayment is currently on course to win this seasons Chub Cup which is awarded for the largest chub caught each season, well done Henry!
