Match Blog 27/8/17 - Horspath Cup

10 anglers fished the Horspath Cup at Chiselhampton from 7.30am - 12.30pm. They were greeted by a bright sunny hot day, a low river with little flow but fairly good colour. Fish were hard to catch given the conditions and the match was eventually won by Kevin Smith from new peg 21 (old peg 20) downstream at Chiselhampton. Kevin caught a typical Thame mixed bag of fish on pole fished maggot comprising mainly small roach, dace, perch & gudgeon with chub conspicuous by their absence. Second place was taken by Dick Martin with 2lb 9oz and third was Roger Smith with 2lb 2oz. Next match is the N & G Ring Pairs Match at Drayton St. Leonard on the 10/9/17, draw will take place at 6.45am, see you there.
