Match Blog 24/9/17 - Brian Coles Cup

13 anglers fished the Brian Coles Cup at Cuddesdon from 7.30am to 12.30pm, the last early start of the current season as the mornings are getting darker. They were greeted by a cold fog which was quickly burned off by bright sunshine. Three anglers managed to draw the same peg as the last time we fished Cuddesdon including eventual winner Dick Martin who won the match from Peg 3 with 3lb 13oz. Second was Roy Barber with 2lb 9oz from Peg 18 just beating Kevin Smith who caught 2lb 8oz from Peg 8. Fourth place was Dave Wollington with 2lb 4oz from Peg 13. Bryan Ball had an eventful day on Peg 1 losing two big fish, catching two pike and being visited by an otter who popped its head up in his swim!
