Gearing up for the new Season

Lots of excited anglers around this time of the year anxious to get the season up and running. Plenty of work has happened down on the riverbank over the close season with fences and styles being fixed, swims being cleared and a few tress trimmed to make fishing a little easier. The fish have been on a bit of a diet with the lack of crayfish so will definitely be interesting to see how the river fares over the coming weeks. If you have a good story to tell please let us know / email in your pictures and we will pop them on the website.

Please make sure you have you rod licence and new club membership card on you at all times, the club has had a number of notices from the relevant authorities warning of extra checks being conducted on the river bank this year, and there will be a major operation under way in the West Thames area which we are apart of, targeting illegal fishing and fish theft. There was a recent incident not too far from our waters recently, which after a pretty big argument resulted in a 685-00 fine for the offender!

Stay tuned for the website for more regular updates than last season - first couple of match dates have been updated, the rest to follow shortly!

Good Luck Everyone.............
