February 2024

We managed to fit in a match on Sunday 4th February whilst the river was at a reasonable for a very short period. No large chub caught but it was interesting to see several chub in the 11 oz to 1 lb range which is good for the future. 10 anglers enjoyed the tough day on the bank.

We are working with the River Thame Conservation Trust on a project to re introduce water voles to the Thame. The first part of this is to identify where mink are present so they can be eradicated on our waters. This should help to give a benefit to the fish stocks. There are rafts in the chiselhampton to Drayton Bridge stretch. If you come across these then please leave alone. If you notice any issues then please contact Richard.

We may still try for a further match before the end of the season but this will be dependent on water levels in the river.
