Big fish being caught!

Despite the new season only being a few weeks old we've already had reports of large fish being caught at all three of our venues on the River Thame. In chronological order a 6lb common carp was caught at Drayton St. Leonard on legered worm. River carp are much harder fighting fish than those in lakes & ponds so this was a notable capture. The same tactics accounted for a 7lb bream at Cuddesdon the following day by the same angler. Legered maggot accounted for an estimated 5 - 6lb barbel at Chiselhampton. Photo's of all three fish are on Facebook if you want to take a look. Tight lines!
